Russia has launched a massive combined strike on Kyiv, firing nearly five hundred drones and more than seventy missiles at the Ukrainian capital, killing at least twenty-one people and injuring dozens more.
The assault comes days after Ukraine targeted Moscow with sixty-one drones, hitting what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said was a satellite communications centre used to coordinate Russian military operations.
Poland scrambled fighter jets in response to the scale of the Russian bombardment.
