The Houthi armed forces say they have struck Saudi Aramco oil facilities in Jizan and Yanbu on Saturday, firing dozens of missiles and drones at the Red Sea installations after the Saudi-led coalition bombed Houthi targets in Hodeidah on Friday night.
Saudi Arabia had been rerouting millions of barrels of oil per day through its east-west pipeline to the Yanbu terminal on the Red Sea coast after the war with Iran disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Houthi attacks now threaten that alternative export route at a time when global energy supplies are already under severe strain.
