Following an attack near Europe's largest nuclear power plant in the Russian-controlled Ukrainian region of Zaporizhzye, external electricity supply was cut off. The Russian administration of the plant assured there was imminent threat of a nuclear incident. Moscow blamed Kiev for ignoring basic nuclear safety regulations and criticised the IAEA for lack of control despite its persistent efforts to stabilize the situation around the power plant.
