STATE DEPARTMENT URGES END OF 'TWO TIER POLICING' IN UK

The Trump Administration has entered the row over the murder of British student Henry Nowak, calling for a rejection of so-called 'two-tiered policing'.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who met the teenager's family on Thursday, denies that white people are being policed differently from minorities in the UK, and accuses critics of exploiting the tragedy.

Henry Nowak died in handcuffs in Southampton last December, after his attacker falsely accused him of racism.

Former chief superintendent at the Metropolitan Police, Dal Babu, says the debate is causing societal divisions.
