ISRAEL AND IRAN EXCHANGE MISSILE STRIKES AS HUNDRED-DAY WAR ESCALATES

Israel and Iran have exchanged missile fire on Monday, with explosions heard across both countries on the hundredth day of the war that began in February.

Iran launched two waves of missiles at Israel after Israeli forces struck the Lebanese capital Beirut on Sunday — a move Tehran had long warned would trigger retaliation.

Israel then hit back, striking targets including a petrochemical plant in Iran's Khuzestan province.
