QUEEN ELIZABETH II WAS ‘VERY KEEN’ FOR ANDREW TO BECOME TRADE ENVOY

New files reveal the late Queen Elizabeth II was “very keen” for her son Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to be given a position as trade envoy in 2000.

A memo written at the time expressed the Queen’s desire for her son to have a “prominent role in the promotion of national interests”.
