The suspect in the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner has been formally charged with attempting to assassinate US President Donald Trump.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt accused Democrats and the media of “hateful rhetoric” which she said contributed to Saturday’s attack.
