US Inflation Comes in Below Forecast at 2.4 Percent

The rate of inflation in the United States slowed in January, according to new data, as both analysts and consumers pay close attention to the effect of the Trump Administration's tariffs.

The cost of goods and services rose at a rate of 2.4 percent, with forecasts predicting that number would be about 2.5 percent.
