Meta and AMD agree $100 billion AI chip deal

Meta has agreed to buy billions of dollars worth of AI chips from US chipmaker AMD to build new data centers... and could become a ten percent owner of the company.

The deal is a major challenge to Nvidia, which currently dominates the market for the processors powering the artificial intelligence boom.
