Kremlin warns over expiring START treaty on nuclear arms

The Kremlin has warned that letting the last remaining nuclear arms control agreement between Russia and the United States expire could jeopardize global security. The New START treaty is set to become defunct later this week. Russia has proposed extending the strategic arms control deal for a year, and is still waiting for the U.S. response.
