European Commission finds TikTok’s addictive design breaches EU law

The European Commission has found that TikTok's addictive design is in breach of the bloc's Digital Services Act.

The EU argued that TikTok did not adequately assess how features like its infinite scroll could harm the mental wellbeing of its users.
