UK Prime Minister Says Greenland’s Future Is For Greenland and Denmark To Decide In Wake Of Trump Threats

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has defended Denmark and Greenland in the wake of further threats of annexation by US President Donald Trump.

Trump has repeated claims that the US needs the arctic island for its national security.

Danish PM Mette Frederiksen has urged President Trump to stop making threats and said the US has "no right to annex any of the three countries in the Danish Kingdom."

Keir Starmer said that the future of Greenland is only for Denmark and Greenland to decide, and reiterated the UK's support for its Nato ally.
