'Several Dozen' Presumed Dead In Swiss Ski Resort Fire

Police in Switzerland say 'several dozen' people are presumed dead - and more than a hundred have been injured- after a fire at a bar in the Swiss Alps.

It's believed the fire spread rapidly after breaking out at roughly 1.30 in the morning local time at Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana. ((Pron: Cron-Montana))

10 helicopters, 40 ambulances and 150 responders were sent to the scene. Many of the injured are suffering from severe burns, and have been sent to specialist treatment centres.

Authorities say it's not being treated as terror related.

Speaking through an interpreter, Stéphane Ganzer, head of security for the Valais canton, says authorities have ruled out an attack:

IN: "The initial witness…"
OUT: "....of the fire."
