Security evacuations have stranded thousands in Pakistan’s Tirah Valley

Thousands of people in Pakistan's northwestern Tirah Valley are facing a growing humanitarian crisis as authorities order evacuations.

It comes ahead of a military operation targeting the Pakistani Taliban, who are reported to control large parts of the valley.

Islamabad says terrorism has surged along the Afghan border since the US withdrawal from Kabul -- that's a charge the Afghan administration denies.
