The European Union has announced a donation of 2.3 million dollars to support communities affected by conflict in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The EU Delegation says the funding is meant to provide life-saving assistance to thousands of people affected by the recent violence between Congolese forces and the M23 rebels in South Kivu province.
