International rights group Human Rights Watch has warned that the sudden withdrawal of the M23 rebels from the city of Uvira in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo has put civilians from the Banyamulenge community at grave risk of attacks by the Wazalendo militia allied to the Congolese army. The Banyamulenge are ethnic Tutsis whom the M23 rebels claim they are fighting to protect in North and South Kivu provinces. Chris Ocamringa has more from Kinshasa..
