European powers agree to MERCOSUR trade deal

A qualified majority of European Union member states have approved a
major trade agreement with MERCOSUR bloc of South American nations.

The vote still needs to be formalized by European capitals but a deal
that's been in the works for over 25 years looks set to be completed.
