UK GOVT HOLDS 'URGENT REVIEW' IN BRITISH-EGYPTIAN ACTIVIST CASE

An urgent review will be carried out into so-called "serious information failures" over British-Egyptian activist Alaa Abd El-Fattah.

Historical tweets emerged where he appeared to call for violence against Zionists and police - but the government says it was unaware of those comments when it welcomed his arrival in the UK.

Alaa Abd El Fattah travelled to Britain on Friday after being freed from prison in Egypt.
