Macron urges Xi to pressure Putin over war in Ukraine

Emmanuel Macron has urged Xi Jinping to pressure Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine.

The French president held face-to-face talks with his Chinese counterpart in Beijing.

Macron also appealed to China's leader to improve Europe's trade balance.
