French PM survives crucial vote on 2026 budget

The French parliament has passed a crucial vote on its 2026 social security budget.

The government managed to squeeze the proposed legislation through the National Assembly by just 13 votes, meaning the prime minister Sebastien Lecornu has avoided the possibility of being ousted - for now.
