Emmanuel Macron prepares annual NYE speech after chaotic year

The French president is preparing to make his annual New Year's Eve speech after a politically chaotic year.

There were two different prime ministers, Marine Le Pen was barred from running for office after an embezzlement conviction, and the year draws to a close with no agreement on the 2026 budget.
