34 year-old left-leaning Democrat Zohran Mamdani has been elected as New York City's next mayor.
He's described himself as "Donald Trump's worst nightmare" and will be the youngest person to hold the job in a century.
The Democrats have also won races for governors in Virginia and New Jersey.
