European environment ministers are convening in a last ditch effort to
reach a deal to cut greenhouse gas emissions ahead of the COP 30
summit later this week.
The European Union aims to slash emissions by 90 percent compared to
1990 levels but some nations are concerned about the economic impact
of such a plan.
