European powers upbeat after Trump meeting

European powers are expressing optimism ahead of Donald Trump's Friday
meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Several European leaders including Ukraine's President had a virtual
call with the U.S. Commander in Chief on Wednesday to lay out their
positions for a peace process.
