European Union foreign ministers are convening Monday to discuss
Europe's role ahead of Friday's meeting between U.S. President Donald
Trump and his Russian counterpart.
Over the weekend a half dozen European leaders issued a joint
statement welcoming Washington's peace efforts but said that Europe's
security interests must be protected.
