The UK says it will be returning migrants to France within weeks, after agreeing a so-called 'one in, one out' deal.
Some migrants who make small boat crossings to England will be detained and returned to France, and in exchange the UK will take in an equivalent number of asylum seekers with a family connection to Britain.
Opposition parties are describing it as a 'gimmick'.
But Mike Tapp, Labour MP for Dover where many of those reaching the UK in small boats land, says he welcomes the agreement.
IN: 'I'm enthused...
OUT: ...move.'
