UK MPs TO VOTE ON WELFARE REFORM

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer could face his biggest rebellion since taking office when MPs vote on planned reforms to welfare later (Tuesday).

Dozens of Labour lawmakers have been expressing concerns about changes to eligibility to some disability benefit payments.

The government says the system needs reform to stop it becoming unaffordable.

The disability minister Stephen Timms is hopeful the changes made to proposed legislation will convince most of those considering voting against their party.
