More than 1,300 schools are closed in France as heatwave continues to pummel Europe

More than 1,300 schools are closed in France on Tuesday as local authorities roll out an action plan to deal with the first major heatwave of the summer.

Spain has seen temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius as much of Europe swelters.
