Massive quake off Russia's far east trigges mass evacuations

A powerful magnitude 8.8 earthquake off Russia's far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula triggered 4-meter high tsunami waves.

Alerts have been issued across parts of the U.S. and Asia with nearly two million people in Japan told to evacuate.
