US INFLATION TICKS UP — BUT TARIFFS SHOWING NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT

Inflation in the US rose in May — but only in line with economists' expectations, according to the latest Consumer Price Index released on Wednesday.

It follows months of speculation that inflation would climb amid Donald Trump's trade war.
