The UK has announced it will buy new fighter jets capable of carrying nuclear weapons.
The British Government says the purchase of 12 F-35A's will see the UK join NATO's airborne nuclear mission and calls it the 'Biggest strengthening of the UK's nuclear posture in a generation'.
The announcement comes with NATO's summit underway in the Netherlands, and as the alliance's member states commit to increased defence spending.
The UK's Defence secretary John Healey says the deal aims to strengthen both defence and British industry.
