Schools closed in France as much of Europe swelters in first heatwave of summer

Hundreds of schools have been closed in France as local authorities roll out an action plan to deal with the first major heatwave of the summer.

Temperatures over the next two days are set to hit 40 degrees Celsius in France, and 42 in Spain & Portugal.
