Senate votes against bill to block Trump tariffs

The US Senate has narrowly voted against a bill that would have
blocked president Donald Trump's tariffs.

An increasing number of lawmakers - including from within the
president's own party - have signalled unease at the global economic
turmoil created by the trade war.
