EU faces 50 percent U.S. tariffs

European stocks fell Friday on the news that the U.S. plans to impose
a blanket 50 percent tariff on goods coming from the European Union.

The announcement from President Trump came before U.S. and EU trade
representatives were scheduled to speak.
