The UK Government, and British Steel — which is now under Government management — is urgently trying to get raw materials to England's last remaining steel factory to prevent it shutting down.
Over the weekend the factory was partially nationalised after the Government claimed it became clear its Chinese owners had no interest in saving the plant despite substantial offers of Government support.
