The United Nations aid agency calls for urgent action in the
Democratic Republic of Congo as they fear a large-scale humanitarian
crisis.
According to the UN the situation continues to worsen following days
of intense fighting in and around Goma, with food and water supplies
running extremely low.
The French delegation meanwhile intends to present a draft resolution
before the Security Council this week to pressure Rwanda to withdraw
its troops from the country.
