The number of people in hospital with flu in England has more than quadrupled since last month.
New National Health Service figures show the number of admissions for flu is also up sharply compared to this week last year.
Roughly five thousand people with the virus are being treated in hospital at the moment, with some senior doctors warning that services are being pushed to breaking point.
