SOUTH KOREA ORDERS AVIATION SAFETY PROBE

South Korea has ordered an emergency safety inspection of the country's entire airline system after the plane crash which killed 179 people.

Authorities say the pilot reported a bird strike shortly before hitting a concrete wall upon landing at Muan International Airport on Sunday.

The plane's landing gear didn't come down.

Aviation expert David Learmount is concerned about the barrier it hit at the end of the landing strip.
