Lancet study says air pollution could be behind 1.5 million deaths in India

Air pollution - especially due to finer pollutants that can get lodged in the lungs could be causing 1.5 million deaths in India according to a Lancet Planetary Health study. 


The study claims that no one in the country lives in an area where average yearly air quality levels meet the World Health Organisation's standards.
