The United States has once again used its veto to block a Security
Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Washington says it could support the text claiming Hamas would have
seen it as a vindication.
But council members have harshly criticised the US saying this is
another indication that it has no intention of bringing an end to the
war.
