The United Nations Security Council is once again negotiating a draft
resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
While these resolutions are legally binding by international law, they
have yet to be implemented.
Meanwhile, the UN continues to call for an end to the fighting,
describing the situation in Gaza as catastrophic with thousands on the
brink of famine.
