Israeli air strikes hit southern Beirut, at least 40 dead in eastern Lebanon

Israel has carried out fresh air strikes in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Lebanon's health ministry says at least 40 people were also killed in a separate set of strikes in the east of the country.
