Israel misses deadline to increase aid into Gaza

The United Nations says Israel has missed a deadline set by the United
States to boost aid into Gaza.
Last month the US secretary of State gave Israel an ultimatum of 30
days to ensure more aid trucks reached Gaza daily.
That deadline expired on Tuesday and the UN says things remain dire in
the enclave.
