The UK government has announced anonymity for police firearms officers facing trial until they are convicted.
The measure is part of reforms aimed at addressing concerns from both within the police and the public over current systems of police accountability
And comes after the end of the high-profile trial of a police officer, which had seen protests over police shooting as well as criticism over the decision to charge the officer with murder.
