MILTON BEARS DOWN ON FLORIDA'S WEST

Hurricane Milton is bearing down on Florida's west coast with more than a million people ordered to evacuate.

Forecasters say it has the potential to be one of the most destructive storms ever recorded in the region.

It's been packing winds of up to 165 miles an hour and is expected to make landfall around the Tampa Bay area on Wednesday night local time.

Professor Jennifer Collins is a hurricane expert at the University of South Florida - she says Tampa Bay is particularly vulnerable.
