Protesting doctors in India refuse to end strike despite court deadline

Doctors in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal - where a medic was raped and murdered last month - say they will not return to work, despite a Supreme Court deadline that ends on Tuesday.

The rape and murder sparked a week-long boycott of non-emergency services by doctors across India but medics in the state of West Bengal have refused to return to work, saying justice for their colleague has not been delivered yet.
