Japan lawmakers softening anti-nuclear stance in bid to become Prime Minister

Senior lawmakers in Japan’s ruling LDP are ditching their anti-nuclear positions in a bid to become the country’s next Prime Minister. 


The party is choosing a new leader later this month and many candidates are softening previously held positions on energy to improve their chances.
