UK GOVERNMENT WON'T APPEAL OIL DRILLING SUPREME COURT RULING

The British government says it won't appeal a ruling by the UK Supreme Court that requires the impact of burning fossil fuels to be taken into account when issuing oil drilling licenses.

The two untapped fields at the centre of the legal challenge retain their license to drill. But the decision could make them vulnerable to future legal challenges.
