A deal to end the fighting in Gaza is on the brink of collapse, after America's top diplomat left the Middle East with no truce in place.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's ninth visit to the region since the start of the war came amid days of negotiations to secure a ceasefire, but his trip ended without the agreement he craves.
