US Supreme Court strikes down social media misinformation lawsuit

The United States Supreme Court has ruled that the US government *can* request the removal of misinformation on social media.


The case had threatened to radically redefine how lawmakers interact with the tech world, with plaintiffs arguing that this intervention violates the first amendment — the constitutional right to free speech.
